Jerry Dodrill Eastern Sierra Workshop at Mountain Light Gallery
April 29-May 1st (Bishop, California)
In this three-day workshop Jerry will de-mystify the fundamentals of creative digital nature photography through lectures, field work, and critique in both a small group and individual format. You will study light, motion and composition in the dynamic landscape of California's Eastern Sierra. Starting with the basics, Jerry will share essential techniques to help you pre-visualize, anticipate, and capture best-case lighting conditions, plus guide you through an efficient post-production workflow. The workshop includes most meals and will include four field sessions which may include the Alabama Hills below Mt. Whitney, Mono Lake, seasonal wildflower displays in the Owens Valley with the High Sierra as a backdrop.

June 27-July1, 2011 Limited to 10 students.
Sierra Nevada College Summer Workshops is once again hosting this five day course. This is perfect for beginning to intermediate students who want a full immersion experience in image making, from exposure and composition, working in the field, and post production strategies. SNC has a great facility for the class, complete with current macintosh computers and photoshop software for each student. We cover a ton of ground, both in the classroom and around the lake, making images, processing, and critiquing them.
