Located near Goat Rock in the Sonoma Coast State Park, Arched Rock is a fine example of nature's architecture. I have always visualized an image of the sun setting through the arch, but it just doesn't work because it faces North-South and the sun sets in the West. Regardless, I went out on the winter solstice to photograph on the day when the sun is the farthest South on the horizon.
