Sunrise at Bowling Ball Beach, Gualala, California

Bowling
Ball Beach is about a two-hour drive up the coast from my
house. The first time I tried to shoot at this beach, I
blew it by not checking the tide book.
The tide was too high and I couldn't see a single rock.
The next time I visited, I came back for sunrise and a minus
tide. I could not have imagined that instead of their normal
brownish-gray, the stones would be green. Bowling Ball Beach
is a truly mysterious place that I will not soon forget.
